Could someone explain why I get this error message?

I’m new to the club but not new to using .fit files to upload to my garmin. Years ago with another club I was able to pull down the needed files. 

Please explain the correct procedure to get into Ride with GPS to pull a file.

I’m assuming that all the rides being posted are available for gps use rather than a cue sheet.
